WWE News – Dana White on Brock Lesnar and CM Punk fighting in UFC again Some of the biggest stars in the professional sporing world are made in the WWE, and you can look no further than Brock Lesnar and CM Punk for examples. Lesnar was signed to WWE out of college and dominated the professional wrestling world after being dubbed The Next Big Thing. He would go on to have feuds with and defeat the likes of The Undertaker and The Rock. Eventually The Beast would grow tired of the travel schedule and ventured into the world of the National Football League (NFL), where he just missed the cut to make the Minnesota Vikings regular season team. Lesnar than switched to a career in mixed martial arts (MMA) after a stint in Japan as a professional wrestler, and the UFC quickly scooped the former WWE Champion up. He would go on to defeat the likes of Randy Couture and Frank Mir to win the UFC heavyweight championship. Lesnar would eventually drop the title to Cain Velasquez and also suffered a defeat to Alistair Overeem. Punk made himself famous in WWE by becoming one of the top draws in the company and biggest fan-favorites. The Cult Of Personality grew frustrated with the inner workings of the company and waked out on WWE before seemingly returning form professional wrestling. He would later sign with the UFC as an active fighter and lost his UFC debut in September of 2016 via first round submission to Mickey Gall. Lesnar is currently back in WWE and reigns as Universal Champion, and he has since retired from MMA competition. After being called out by Jon Jones, however, Lesnar did express interest in returning for that fight. Punks MMA career has been in doubt after his lopsided loss to Gall, making UFC President Dana White question whether or not he should let the former professional wrestler fight in the promotion again. White was recently asked by The New York Post about the possibility of seeing either Lesnar or Punk in the UFC as fighters again. As it pertains to Punk White said he will give him one more shot inside the Octagon:. “I like that guy. He’s a good dude. He wants one more. He wants to get another shot. I’m going to give it to him.”. As for Lesnar, White says he believes its possible we see The Beast fight for the UFC in 2018:. “I think he’ll give it one more run. I just think Brock loves to fight.”.
