WWE NEWS – R-Truth Pulled Over By Police BUT Wins 247 Title
WWE Big Cass Return In 2019 We’re kicking off with some 24/7
title news today, as reigning
champion R-Truth continues to be on the run, and
can’t even rely on the cops to
protect him. Yesterday, Truth uploaded a video
of his latest title defence, and
though we don’t know what caused him to get pulled
over by the authorities, the
officer said he’d let him go if he could get a
picture with the SmackDown star. The moment Truth exited his
vehicle, a second officer revealed
his referee shirt, and though the first was able to get a two-
count with a schoolboy, it was
Truth who escaped with the gold. As the 24/7 Champion, Truth is
the most hunted man in WWE,
and it looks like the rapping wrestler can’t even
rely on the authorities to protect
and serve. Now it wasn’t too long ago that
rumors circulated about Enzo
Amore and Big Cass were prepping for a WWE return,
and though the reports were
quickly debunked by Triple H, that was only after Cass
already denied them. Now though, the seven foot Super
star has told Wrestling Inc that he
has had talks with WWE and would be interested in
returning, even without Enzo. He said: “I talk to them. Who know
what will happen? I could get a
call tomorrow, so I’ve been in contact with them and
we chat on a regular basis.
But nothing is concrete yet.” Though Cass said he’d be ready
to return without the former
Cruiserweight Champion he did admit he’d support Enzo
no matter what, saying: “If he gets a music deal or
something like that, good for
him. I’m right in his corner. And I think that if I get a deal with
any wrestling company, or
entertainment, or anything like that, he’d be
right in my corner.” In 2019, WWE’s roster is
arguably the biggest it’s ever
been, meaning Cass may struggle to get air time,
if they re-sign him at all. Despite this, WWE were once
very high on Cass, even giving
him a Universal title shot so the Certified-G may be
back after all. From someone who may be getting
a second chance, to two bonafide
icons of the industry as The Undertaker and ‘Stone
Cold’ Steve Austin both returned to WWE this week inside
Madison Square Garden. The first time in a decade that
the legendary arena had
hosted RAW and SmackDown Live, the Rattlesnake appeared
in the opening and final
segment of RAW whilst the Phenom choke
slammed Sami Zayn on the
blue brand. As two of the biggest stars ever,
The Undertaker and Austin
were treated well by officials from the World’s most famous
arena, who gave both of
them gifts. The Deadman received a custom
jersey with his name on the back,
as well as a photo placed on the wall of the arena,
next to the King of Rock & Roll,
Elvis Presley. Austin also received a custom
3:16 Jersey, as well as a frame
of photos of some of his biggest moments in the Garden, including
his SummerSlam 1998 match
against the Phenom himself. Both legends took to Twitter to
thank MSG for the gifts, as
gestures like this certainly help the chances
are the pair returning. Speaking of legends, former WWE
Champion and reigning AEW
World Champion Chris Jericho has continued on his wave of
success, by selling out his second
Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Sea Cruise. Booked guests will be treated to
4-days of wrestling, music,
comedy and more on the open ocean, and the ship
was set sail on January 20th,
next year. The ship, part of Sixthman, the
industry leaders in festivals at
sea will sail from Miami Florida to Nassau, Bahamas, and
will include legends like Ric Flair,
the NWO, Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts, DDP, AEW
stars like Kenny Omega, Jon
Moxley and the Young Bucks as well as comedian
Gabriel Iglesias. Jericho may consider himself the
Best in the world at what he does,
and it seems now the AEW World Champion wants
to be the best in the seas as well. Back to WWE now and Becky
Lynch decided to have some
fun with SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley
ahead of the Blue Brand’s
move to FOX next month. An advert for the switch shows
several current Superstars, but
doesn’t include the SmackDown Women’s Champion
herself, instead focussing on the
RAW Women’s Champion. The Man quickly spotted this and
mocked the recently-turned
hugger online, telling her it’s great to see a women’s
champion get so much attention,
adding it with a condescending “You’re doing
amazing Sweetie.” Lynch wasn’t the only woman who
got in on this, as Lacey Evans
said she was trying to decide which was more
classless: Lynch’s comments
or the fact that Bayley and The Man are the champions
in the first place. Though fans haven’t seen the
Sassy Southern Belle in the
title hunt for quite a while it’s clear that the former US Marine
hasn’t given up her dream of
championship glory just yet. Speaking of SmackDown’s move
to FOX, one Superstar who is
always a must-see attraction is former WWE and
Universal Champion Brock
Lesnar. Lesnar, who hasn’t been seen
since his SummerSlam loss to
Seth Rollins, is being advertised for the Smack
Down 20th Anniversary show on
FOX though could be appearing
even sooner than that According to Brad Shepard,
Lesnar is expected to return
to WWE very soon and specified that it’d be before
SmackDown on FOX. Whilst it’s unclear what this means,
WWE did recently confirm that a
special SmackDown preview will take place the week
before the move to FOX on
October 4th so the Beast incarnate could
make his presence known there. Since his return to WWE in 2012,
Lesnar has held had four reigns
as World Champion, though the company may be hesitant to give
him another after fan backlash
of his lengthier reigns that would see title belts disappear
of screens for months. It’ll be interesting to see if this
comes true as though he may
no longer be Universal Champion Lesnar is always a huge draw,
whoever he faces. SmackDown isn’t the only show
moving around soon, as though
NXT will be moving to the USA Network next week,
WWE are already looking at
ways to fill the void. According to the Wrestling Observer
Newsletter, the company has been
talking to other companies to use their footage for the Network,
which could be used in the higher
tier WWE Network set-up. Planeta Wrestling reported that
WWE’s fear of AEW’s relationship
with Triple A has caused the McMahon led promotion to
pursue CMLL, in what
according to the report has been a desparate act by
the company. That same report says that one
issue WWE is facing is their lack
of faith in Latin American talent which has made the deal with
CMLL much harder and has caused the Hispanic
community to lose interest. If the deal goes through, then
WWE could acquire CMLL’s
video library for the Network though it’s still unknown just how
likely an agreement between
the two parties are. Acquring CMLL’s library would
certainly give the company
something unique to offer on the Network and a great way
to market to their Latin
American fanbase something WWE has fallen
short of in it’s war with All
Elite Wrestling. We all know that WWE has never
shied away from hot-button topics,
whether it be race sexuality or even stealing your
opponent’s father’s corpse in
1999, but even the company has
stayed away from incest,
at least on screen. Though the topic will always be
taboo, that didn’t stop the idea
of an incest angle being planned in the midst of the
Attitude Era, and would have
starred Ken Shamrock. Speaking to Chris Van Vliet this
week, the World’s Most Dangerous
Man spoke about the plans for him and his on-screen sister Ryan.
Though the pair weren’t really
related, and even briefly dated in real life, the proposed romantic
incest angle didn’t seem any
less creepy. He said: “I know that they wanted to do a
storyline where Ryan, who
played my sister, wanted me to be in love with her
I’m like ‘that just don’t feel right.’” Shamrock then compared the story
to how Bret Hart had been treated
at Survivor Series 1997, saying it felt to him like they were truing to
ruin the character of the World’s
Most Dangerous Man. Whether this was the case or not,
the incest angle thankfully never
made it to air and Shamrock would leave the
company in 1999. Despite being a former Inter
continental and Tag Champion,
as well as winning the 1998 1998 King of the Ring, Shamrock
has never been brought back to
the WWE, but recently returned to IMPACT Wrestling, and has
been feuding with Moose,
which has led to a match that will take place on October
20th, at Bound for Glory. We’re focussing on NXT Superstar
Johnny Gargano next, who has
made it clear that he isn’t going anywhere
and will remain in NXT. In a Tweet, the first ever NXT
Triple Crown Champion put out
a statement where he spoke about staying with the yellow brand,
despite receiving a brief call up to
the main roster earlier this year. In his statement, Gargano said
that the notion of going “up” to the
main roster was dead, saying that thanks to the show’s popularity and
next week’s move to the USA
Network, NXT is the main roster now. And finally today we’re looking at
John Cena, who has fulfilled the
life dream of many WWE fans by being
cast in a major Superhero
movie. Earlier this week, Suicide Squad
director James Gunn confirmed
that Cena will be joining the team and though the role is unknown,
it was reported that the character
was first offered to Batista. With his incredible physique,
there’s no shortage of heroes
from DC Comics that Cena could play, though it’s the
relatively obscure character
Peacemaker, that has been rumored for the
16-time WWE World Champion. Debuting in comics back in 1966,
Peacemaker much like Cena, is
in peak human condition, and is no stranger to team ups,
working alongisde fellow
obscure characters like The Question, Captain
Atom and Nightshade. The movie, which will follow up
from the 2016 film, will see many
of the same cast return, including Margot Robbie as crazed female
lead Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnamon
as US Special Forces officer Rick Flagg, Viola Davies as the
controlling Amanda Waller
and Jai Courtney as Australian assassin Captain
Boomerang. The 2021 Suicide Squad film is
just the latest huge role
undertaken by Cena, who’s film career has continued to grow
since he transitioned to a role as a part-time
Superstar a few years ago. Well guys , that’s the news for today

  1. I would like Bray to be overpowered. He can't be doing close matches and definitely not lose. He needs to be dominating and menacing. Booked strong like Lesnar, Taker or Goldberg.

If he loses it has to be after a long storyline where the payoff is worth it but maybe 1-2 a year.

  2. As a fan I was so upset about the new Hardcore I mean 24/7 Championship. When R-Truth and Rockstar Spud aka Drew Maverick boosted the title into that feel good funny spot. Soon after this has been one of the hottest things that has been done. R-Truth took that whatever the boss needs to the heart and a heart of gold has given us the Golden Truth, the Famous Dance Brake, now these awesome segments with the title. I use to wanna see R-Truth with the Gold but now he is as much needed as them top guys!

  3. the incest angle they had for shamrock is not the only time Vince had that plan. on the dvd called "Mcmahon" Stephanie said she had to turn down an idea where vince or shane would have been her babies father

  4. This is to date the greatest 247 stunt yet. Good thing the cop wasn't a white guy. That would have gone horribly wrong and obvious that was Vince move

  5. Bahahahhahahahahahahan truth and 24 7 title probably the best thing besides the fiend in wwe right now….. cracked up when that celtic center won the belt…… in the knicks garden

  6. Dude doesn't even look like a cop lol. He looks like security guard. Most cops in cruisers don't wear polos. Really fake, I thought you broke kayfabe
